According to the Dollar General website, you can get an extra 50% off already reduced purple dot items through May 16th!

This is how you figure how much your item will be:

If an item is $10 and is currently 25% off, the item would be $7.50.
Then, you take the extra 50% off the $7.50 price, making it $3.75 for the final price.

If an item is $10 and is currently 40% off, the item would be $6.
Then, you take the extra 50% off the $6 price, making it $ for the final price.
