UPDATE: 2¢ "art" canvas rang as $1.20 for me today at Dollar General!

I purchased one of the previously 2¢ canvas "artwork" today and it rang up $1.20!

I even checked in the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder to see if it was the same UPC as ones that were 2¢ and sure enough it was in there as 2¢!  I have updated it since to show the particular UPC as the one that rang $1.20 for me and to be careful on the others as they may have reset to a regular clearance price now.

Update: The orange clearance tags at DG are ringing 1/2 off!

Dollar General is having a clearance event starting today.  The orange tag clearance were not on the receipt that stated what was included, but they ARE ringing half-off.  YMMV!

I really think sometimes they try to confuse everyone with their sales and clearance.  The receipt clearly mentioned which items were included in the clearance event.  But, the signs in the stores are different than what was printed on the receipts.  It is STILL possible that some items will not ring up correctly.  I only bought a couple items and it did work.

Dollar General Clearance Event Aug 25-27. Please see details!

Dollar General is having a 3-day clearance event starting this Friday.

Starting August 25 and running through August 27, Dollar General is having a clearance event on SELECT items.  The ad that printed at the bottom of my receipt shows only the categories in the graphic that I have posted below and says NOTHING about orange tag clearance.  Your store may or MAY NOT having any additional clearance.  We will update if we find out additional information or if we hear of any changes.  I will also try to update the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder if anything changes.  Please remember though that sometimes it does not update in real time and may take a couple hours to fully update - although usually it's pretty quick!

Please note that there may be some exclusions.

I was searching for clearance yesterday at my local Walmart and ran across some nice totes for only $3.50!  These were located back in the garden area.  Prices may vary from store to store.

These show as $5.24 online, so you want to check to see if your store has them as prices in-store and online are frequently different.

After going out shopping to only 2 stores, I came back with most items on the list.  Unfortunately, the Country Time Strawberry Lemonade on the list is not ringing up as 70% off.  It is ringing $1.50, which I believe is only 25% off - so if-and-when the summer foods penny, this item will most likely be excluded.

I have updated this post and the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder with as much information as we have right now.  My goal and the goal of my Facebook groups is to keep people informed.  We try to get the best information out there so that less mistakes are made and there is less confusions.  We don't just post and run ... we try to verify.
