Sure, I'm a penny shopper, clearance shopper, and well I even use coupons - and, yes, I even like deals on lobster!  In fact, good food is really my favorite splurge!  Up until a few years ago, I didn't like lobster at all ... I thought lobsters looked liked giant bugs and wanted nothing to do with them.  Then, I had some seafood boil at my cousin's party and I fell in love with lobster.

So, I'm not even sure how I found this company Get Maine Lobster, but I signed up for their emails and besides their good humor, they have some great specials!  My first order was the lobster rolls.  They had a really good deal and I bought lobster rolls for 18 (not that I needed that much at once, but I figured I could take it out of the freezer when I had a craving.)

I took one batch to my sister's house and we enjoyed lobster rolls for lunch.  I am in love with lobster and since my sister and her family were coming to my house for Solstice dinner this year, I decided to order lobster tails!

Here is my plate from Solstice dinner (lobster tail, lobster mac & cheese - my version made with Get Maine Lobster's frozen lobster, and coleslaw).  YUMMY!

What were your holiday fails this year?

UPDATE:  Ulta has sent me an egift card to make up for the mailed one and also sent me a little something for myself.  Thank you, ULTA for making it right!

My first holiday fail was a gift card that I purchased from Amazon.  A $25 Denny's gift card ... and it arrived with no balance.  Thankfully, Amazon has excellent customer service and they refunded the purchase immediately when I called.

The second holiday fail is an Ulta gift card that I ordered from Ulta.com.  I ordered before the deadline, so I would receive it by the 24th, but although I ordered on the 18th, it only shipped yesterday.  And, they shipped it by Fed Ex 3-day and shows the delivery estimate as Dec 28.

I tried to call their customer serviced number, but after being on hold for a while, I was asked to leave a message or call back another time.  After trying this a couple times, I posted on Facebook and Twitter.  Ulta on Twitter responded for me to send an email, which I did.  I got a canned reply email saying that they will respond within 24 hours.  So, I don't really have any faith in this being resolved to my expectations, but I will update when I find out.

My points didn't show up today for the 100% back on pajamas at Kmart deal ...

I posted a deal a couple weeks ago for 100% back in points on infant/toddler pajamas at Kmart - actually, I'm pretty sure that most of the pajamas were included too.
