Well, we did it.  The Penny Puss App is now available on Amazon for $4.99 - and well, how fitting as I have been a huge fan of Amazon since day one.

If you have an android phone, you need to download their Amazon app store app (I know confusing) and then buy the Penny Puss App.

I want to thank all my previous app users in the testing phase that bought and helped me realize the dream of making a penny app that was reliable and easy enough to use.

While there had been minor problems with the server, we were fortunate for them to be fixed and handled quickly.

I also want to say recent problems. in the past two weeks, was the handling of submitting it to various sources.

I don't want to hash out what necessitated the transition, however, I am thanking those of you that purchased it and didn't share your link with others that in turn shared with others. You're all part of something special now and after more than a year in the making, I am honored and humbled to have that support, respect, and love.

I know that we released the App through Google Play for a short time, but I canceled those orders because I wasn't comfortable with my home address plastered on the App page.  It just seemed a bit too much loss of privacy.

Anyway, I'd love to hear feedback!  And, if you don't like it, don't buy it!

My new slow cooker and cooking for the freezer!

If you know me, you probably know that I like cooking meals ahead of time and then using my FoodSaver Vacuum Sealer to store  them in the freezer.  I used to just use plastic bags, but sometimes the food would get freezer burnt if I didn't use it right away.  The Foodsaver really helps food to last longer in the freezer.  And, it can save you money.  To me, however, it's also about saving time.  I like having food that just needs to be defrosted and reheated.  It's great on days you just don't feel like starting from scratch.



Anyway, Amazon offered me this Black and Decker slow cooker in exchange for a review (it's a program that they choose customers - no one can ask to join).  So, this came up on my list and since my crockpot is getting pretty beat up, I decided to get this one.  It is 7 quart, and much bigger than my older one.  So, I went yesterday and bought 7 1/2 pounds of chicken tenders and I am ready to test it out!

This past Tuesday, a few select As Seen on TV items were supposed to go to 90% at the Dollar General and even some stores had signs up, but most only rang at 70%.  Some stores seem to be fixed, but there are still reports of only 70% for now.

Where to find inexpensive gems for your project!

A friend of mine said that her and her daughters decorate composition books and they use gems and other little scrapbook items.  So, here are some tips on where to find some great deals on the gems:

If you are shopping at the Dollar General, be on the lookout for these items that pennied on June 30th.  These are confirmed - I bought a bunch of them!  Remember though, these items are supposed to be pulled by the employees, so you may not find them,  Please be respectful to the stores too!  Items may reset at any time.  If you don't like the price it rings - offer to put it back!

I just found a bunch of these on Saturday "hiding" behind the flower strip gems that are regular price.  So you still too might still be able to find them.
