I have a "thing" for extra blankets. I think it's because when I was a young single parent in the Air Force, I didn't have any extra blankets. My mom came to visit and she was cold. So, she got a couple towels out of the closet and covered with those. Her birthday is coming up next month ... I've been thinking of her a lot lately. She passed away back in 2009 just one week after her birthday. She had a good fight with breast cancer, but it ultimately took her.
