I ran in to the local Dollar Tree today to grab some tissue paper and saw this display of Gerber baby foods near the register. They may be located in a different spot in your store ... IF your store gets them. I'm not sure if all Dollar Tree stores get the same items.

Dollar General "Extra 50% off Clearance Event" starts today!

Are you all as excited as I am about the Dollar General Clearance Event?  Clearance items will be an extra 50% off the marked price starting today and going through Sunday!  (Feb 10-12).  Blue and gray dot apparel, shoes, and accessories will also be 50% off for this event.

There are quite a few new "high value" coupons that you can print. You will want to print them now before they are gone! I seem to always wait and then the coupon is gone. They usually allow only so many prints and if it is a popular coupon it can disappear pretty quickly!

New coupons released in the past 2 days! Plus Kmart double coupon scenario!

With Kmart double coupons this week and Rite Aid doing the Rake in Points promotions, it's nice to see a bunch of new coupons released today!

Yesterday, I got 4 of the Loreal Advanced Hair Care shampoo and conditioners for only 99¢ after doubled coupons at Kmart ... and 1 6-roll of Scott Paper Towels for $2.99.  I had to get a small filler item though because my total was $24.95 and you need $25 in select departments to do the double coupon deal.

Are you sick of coupons printing that you didn't select?

I don't know about you, but this really irks me!  I print coupons that I want.  Ink is expensive and unwanted coupons just lead to more garbage ... and waste!  I have only noticed this practice on Coupons.com - so the petition is for them to change.

It's bad enough when we select and print coupons that we don't end up using, but having them forced upon us ... well, it just seems wrong.  We are trying to SAVE money, not spend more.

Using Digital Coupons at Dollar General - clearing up some misunderstanding.

There has been some confusion about using Digital Coupons at Dollar General.  I hope this quick video will help you to understand the process.

Pantone 448 C / Opaque Couche has been in the news recently for being the worlds ugliest color.  I disagree with this assessment.  I don't think it's a bad color at all.  It reminds me of my time in the Air Force wearing olive drab fatigues that are similar in color.

The Jerome Shurr painting that hangs above my desk has similar colors in it.  I love this painting ... I look at it every day.



And, I just bought a cute top from JCPenney that is pretty close in color too (like really close)!  It may be a "boring" color if you have a huge display of it, but I surely don't find it to be ugly at all.

Look how cute this top is that I ordered!  On the JCPenny website, the Moor Green swatch looks like a brownish color, but this is what it really looks like:

I ran into Dollar Tree to see what coupon matchups I could find for the coupons from the 4/3 inserts.

This is really all I found.  But you can always scope out your Dollar Tree and then check the COUPON DATABASE to see if there are any matches!

Bounty 1 roll $1 - only 50¢ after coupon!

Barilla Pronto Pasta $1 cost is going to be determined by the coupon amount you received.  My paper was a 75¢ off, so only 25¢, but the inserts I purchased only had a 45¢ off coupon.

I'm Starting my "Extreme Coupon" Venture ...

I ordered my first set of inserts from a supplier.  The cost was $17.50, which kind of made me cringe.  Not that it's a bad price, but because I can't imagine saving much over that amount to make it worth it.

If you know me, you know that I don't coupon a lot, because I am picky and also I have sensitive skin  as well as allergies which rules out using a LOT of products.  I am, however, going to try to get in on some of the "hotter" deals that I can hopefully sell the products I purchase to make up for the cost of the inserts.

If you didn't see my prior post, the coupon inserts that I purchased aren't as good as my local inserts.  (You can see the video comparison HERE.) If I do decide to keep purchasing inserts, I think I will find another supplier.

My first time at buying coupon inserts from a supplier ...

Those of you who know me, know that I am not a good couponer.  I prefer sales and clearance because it's much less  hassle.  But, I have decided to delve into the coupon world feet first and purchased my first 10 pack of inserts from a coupon supplier on Facebook.

The cost was $17.50 for 10 packs of inserts.  This included the Smart Source, Red Plum, and the P&G for the April 3 Sunday paper.
