So, there are no new pennies as far as we know scheduled this week, but there are some changes for tomorrow in clearance percentages.

Please remember employees are people too! I am going to assume that most penny shoppers think about this when they shop, but I see a few people here and there asking questions that should be answered easily with common decency rules.

Markdown list for today at Dollar General!

I'm really sorry about not getting this posted last night, but here is today's markdowns.



Remember that we also have an extra 50% off clearance even coming up this Friday!  So, all of this should be an EXTRA 50% off through the weekend!  I will get a post up about that soon ... but I'm going shopping today!

UPDATED list /chart of 90% off electronics at Dollar General.

I see so many questions about which ones, that I thought I would put a chart together to help figure out which ones are 90%.



The UPC's that are verified are at the top of the list. Just match the last 5. The diamonds noted are what we have seen people get in THAT particular item. Most of the 90% off are blue diamonds. If the UPC's match and it's a different color it is INCLUDED. The register scans the UPC and does not care what color coding is on the tag. A couple items as you can see from the chart have been found at 90% off with a different color diamond. That does not mean that ALL gold diamonds are included ... or ALL red diamonds are included.

I you are heading out, stop at your Dollar General and see if you can find any of these items!
These are usually found in the $1 aisle, but could also be in the clearance area.

The books that were supposed to penny on Tuesday, finally pennied today.



Dollar General mixes things up sometimes, and well, they didn't penny Tuesday like we thought. We try our best to get the correct information out to you.

UPDATE: The books on the DG list are ringing FULL PRICE!

As of today, 3/13, the books on the penny list are ringing full price.



We do not have any control over what Dollar General does ... we put out the best information that we have at the time and they WERE on the list with the calendars. The calendars have been confirmed as a penny. Please share and spread the word so that people do not take carts full to the register of the books just to find out they are full price.

I have been updating the Penny Puss APP with the calendars that I purchased at 90% off ... the UPC's are not even close to what is on the list.

Lots of Dollar General pennies recently ... but note, a few may be resetting back to full price!

As always, we try to stay on top of things so that we can get the word out. I hate for anyone to take a bunch of items to the checkout that are not a penny when they think they are! This just causes problems for the store and is a little embarrassing for us.

Four day 50% off sales event at Dollar General!

Today is the beginning of Valentine's markdowns at Dollar General!  Valentine's merchandise including the gift sets should be 50% off today with candy and any food items being 25% off!

The Dollar General Clearance Event is over ... or is it?

Well, the Dollar General Clearance Event is officially over! Well, maybe.
We use affiliate links and ads to  help fund our site, but we are in NO way affiliated with Dollar General.



There are rumors going around that Dollar General has extended their Clearance Event for an additional week. We HAVE seen this in past years, but it is usually only SELECT stores and not all that participated. We won't know until people start checking in later today. The DG website clearance prices are back to normal ... and this may be an indication that it is only going to be for select stores now.

I am posting this because I know how fast rumors spread and I don't want people loading up on clearance without checking with their store.

I am going to also add here that the other categories like purple dot and fall clothes will also go back to full price.  They are not clearance, but may START their clearance markdown ... but will most likely NOT start at 50% ... this was a SALE.
