Dollar General Clearance Event Aug 25-27. Please see details!

Dollar General is having a 3-day clearance event starting this Friday.

Starting August 25 and running through August 27, Dollar General is having a clearance event on SELECT items.  The ad that printed at the bottom of my receipt shows only the categories in the graphic that I have posted below and says NOTHING about orange tag clearance.  Your store may or MAY NOT having any additional clearance.  We will update if we find out additional information or if we hear of any changes.  I will also try to update the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder if anything changes.  Please remember though that sometimes it does not update in real time and may take a couple hours to fully update - although usually it's pretty quick!

Please note that there may be some exclusions.  

Yesterday's penny haul from Dollar General.

I don't shop near as much as I used to, but I decided to get some penny shopping in yesterday! I only hit 3 stores, but one store I got 203 items!



I am not posting my full haul, because I got multiple of the same items. But here are many of the items that I did get! I have already added these to the Penny Puss APP with DG Penny Finder.

This is a bit of a mixture.  Some are pink dot (some of the Pink Dot "must have" items were excluded).  The wallet was gray dot, some socks were gray dot and others were gray star.  The wallet clip is one of the latest ASOTV items that pennied.

The cashier at the store where I got 203 items was so nice.  He kept pointing out that I got something missing a ribbon or missing one of the charms.  I just said that it's okay ... I want them anyway.  Really nice guy.  He also said that he wanted to go shopping with me ... can I say ... LOL!

We have a couple pennies starting tomorrow! The red, white, and blue Hostess that are listed in the graphic. Also, the other markdowns may vary by store. We have seen a lot of that lately with the purple dot!

May 16 update on Dollar General clearance.

There are no new pennies that we are aware of tomorrow at Dollar General. Someone has said that the Mother's Day balloons pennied today. I am not really interested and sorry, didn't check it out.

Lots of new pennies tomorrow at Dollar General ... IF you can find them!

The penny list is big this Tuesday!  Pretty much everything that has been 25¢ and 90% off last week will penny on Tuesday, May 9th.

UPDATE:  ONLY Easter and some Blue Dot are coming up pennies today!
NOT gray dot and NOT yellow star toys!

The Penny Puss Penny Finder APP is now available for iPhone too!

If you are a penny shopper at Dollar General, you know as well as I do that it's hard to keep all hte information in your head ... and even with screenshots and notes, sometimes it's nice to have a quick reference.

Our APP has been available for about a year now on Amazon exclusively.  The app started out with about 2500 items and has grown to include over 5000 items.

Lately, we have had a lot of requests to make the Penny Puss Penny Finder App available for iPhone users too. Well, it was just approved last night and is now available for iPhones!  There is a one-time fee for the APP but no annoying advertisements!

It does NOT have a scanner.
