Unfortunately there are not new scheduled pennies for tomorrow at Dollar General. I am actually happy about this because my granddaughter just went home ... and I'm ready to call it a night! She's almost 4 with tons of energy!

Dollar General Penny Policy - rumor that it is changing.
Shoppers recently have had stores tell them that there is a new penny policy that allows only 1 penny item. I have not seen a new policy.

I hope you all got some deals during the Dollar General Clearance Event!
I'd like to start out saying that I was a bit disappointed in the clearance event. I did go to one store that had a lot of regular clearance stuff like laundry detergent, shampoo, and those type things ... you know, the couponing stuff. Most of it rang up higher and had to be adjusted, but the employees were all great!

Dollar General 90% clearance and possibly pennies!
Tomorrow, Feb 27, Valentine's and Back to school should go to 90%.
Valentine's and Back to School 90% may vary. Also, it's quite possible that the Valentine's boxed Hostess cakes may penny. We didn't get verification and, of course, YMMV!

Penny Colgate is back to full price now at Dollar General!
The past couple weeks, we have seen an enourmous amount of items pennied at Dollar General.
We use affiliate ads and links to help fund our site, but we are in no way affiliated with Dollar General.
The lists that the stores received (or what people are leaking, anyway) show only around 60 or so pennies for the past month. Yet, we have well over 200 new penny items added to the Penny Puss APP during that same time-frame. This is why I don't like to add employees to our Dollar General Penny and Clearance group on Facebook! Many times we find surprise pennies LONG before they know anything about it. Is this their fault? Well, no ... but Dollar General marks these items for a penny and they are fair game!

As always, we try to stay on top of things so that we can get the word out. I hate for anyone to take a bunch of items to the checkout that are not a penny when they think they are! This just causes problems for the store and is a little embarrassing for us.

The Dollar General Clearance Event is over ... or is it?
Well, the Dollar General Clearance Event is officially over! Well, maybe.
We use affiliate links and ads to help fund our site, but we are in NO way affiliated with Dollar General.
There are rumors going around that Dollar General has extended their Clearance Event for an additional week. We HAVE seen this in past years, but it is usually only SELECT stores and not all that participated. We won't know until people start checking in later today. The DG website clearance prices are back to normal ... and this may be an indication that it is only going to be for select stores now.
I am posting this because I know how fast rumors spread and I don't want people loading up on clearance without checking with their store.
I am going to also add here that the other categories like purple dot and fall clothes will also go back to full price. They are not clearance, but may START their clearance markdown ... but will most likely NOT start at 50% ... this was a SALE.

1. Go to the Coupon Matchup Post and see what we have matched up for you. This was an effort by a few of us to go to the stores and take pictures and then come home and match them to coupons that are available. There are some that can be found in recent newspaper inserts, some printable, and others that you must add to your DG digital coupon account. Print and clip coupons!
2. Go to the Penny Coupon Matchup Post - see what you can get nice overage on when you use coupons! Sonja said that she is putting all the coupons for penny items in the FRONT of her binder! Print and clip coupons!
