1.  Go to the Coupon Matchup Post and see what we have matched up for you.  This was an effort by a few of us to go to the stores and take pictures and then come home and match them to coupons that are available.  There are some that can be found in recent newspaper inserts, some printable, and others that you must add to your DG digital coupon account.  Print and clip coupons!

Coupon misuse ... no, this is called FRAUD!

A coupon is money given to you by a company for use on their "select" product(s) but with TERMS.  These terms are  how the coupon is supposed to be used.



One terms you may see "one coupon per purchase" this means one coupon per item.  Some cashier mistake this to mean that you can only use one coupon even if you have 2 items.

Another term you may see is "Limit 4 like coupons per person per day".  This may vary or be altogether left off of a coupon.  The company does not want just ONE person buying all of their product, they want it to be there for others.  Also, they may want to limit just how  much you can save on their product.  Companies are out there to make  money ... not just give everything away.  Some cashiers will let you do multiple transactions to use more coupons.  Some cashiers will take any coupon as long as it goes through.  Coupon misuse will never go away until stores teach their cashiers about correct coupon use.  Are you going to get arrested for using 8 coupons in a day instead of 4, I doubt it.  But you could get arrested if you are blatantly using coupons on the wrong items.

Dollar General is having a Clearance Event this Friday and Saturday! According to the receipt, the "select" items will be an extra 50% off!

The receipt (as shown) states that the clearance will be and EXTRA 50% off of "Seasonal Clearance and more" ... and goes on to specify "select" of different categories such as:

• Blue and /or gray dot apparel
• Pink dot accessories
• Easter
• Yellow star toys 
• Disney Infinity
• Select ASOTV (I'm thinking these are the ones already marked down or in the clearance area.)

The receipt says nothing about core clearance ALTHOUGH the stores that I have talked to as well as signs that are being posting in the stores say that core clearance WILL be included.  This may or may NOT be everywhere!  Dollar General keeps their customers confused on sales and clearance ... I'm not sure if they do this on purpose ... but it sure seems like it sometimes.

So, anyway, I took some pictures in the store of what is considered "core" clearance and have matched them with coupons.  See below.
